Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to book a consultation first?
Yes. A consultation helps us identify the best approach for your needs. After this, you can book full sessions directly through the website.

2. What can I expect in a one-to-one counselling session?
One-to-one counselling provides a safe, confidential space to explore what is weighing on you. We work together to uncover strengths, build coping skills, and create space for healing and growth.

3. What can I expect in couples counselling?
Couples counselling helps partners improve communication, resolve conflict, and rebuild connection. I use an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach to support both partners in understanding each other and strengthening their bond.

4. How long is a counselling session?
One-to-one sessions are 1 hour, and couples counselling sessions are 1.5 hours.

5. How much does a session cost?
One-to-one counselling is €60 per session, and couples counselling is €90 per session.

6. How do I pay?
Payment is due 24 hours in advance and can be made via Revolut or cash.

7. What if I need to reschedule?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel a session.

8. Is counselling confidential?
Yes. All sessions are strictly confidential, except where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by law.

9. What approaches do you use in counselling?
I use a range of approaches tailored to each person’s needs. This includes trauma-informed work with Somatic Experiencing (SE) to support emotional regulation and trauma healing, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples counselling, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and creative therapies. My approach is flexible and personalised, combining practical tools with compassionate support to help each client find clarity, resilience, and growth.

10. How quickly can I start counselling?
You can book a consultation at your convenience. Following this, full sessions can be scheduled based on availability, ensuring the best support for your needs.

11. Do I have to share everything with you?
No. You share what feels comfortable. Counselling is about supporting your journey at your own pace, with respect for your boundaries.

12. Who is counselling suitable for?
Counselling can help anyone experiencing stress, addiction, trauma, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or life transitions. Couples counselling is suitable for any partnership seeking to improve communication and connection.
